Philly Grub is a food scene blog founded by Marilyn Johnson. It “showcases all that is good about eating and drinking in Philadelphia.” What attracted me to this blog was its newsworthy content and eye-catching titles. One article called, “Philly Natives Favorite BYOB Restaurants” highlights the top 10 BYOs shared by popular food bloggers including urban_eats_ and bestfoodphilly on Instagram. Johnson reminds Philadelphians of the uniqueness of BYOs and welcomes newcomers to a fresh take on fine dining. She also mentions how it is a great way to save money and try more places in town. I enjoyed reading along and will certainly be putting Wedge and Fig on my list of restaurants to try for their gorgeous cheese plate and backyard area when the weather gets warmer.
